Transforming Youthcare: A Roadmap for Successful Innovation
Discover the progress of the transformation of youthcare, now that the transition has been accomplished. Are we able to effectively implement the innovative changes that lie behind this transformation? In 2015 and 2016, researchers from Broosz embarked on a journey across the province, at the request of the Innovation in Youthcare Foundation. This led them to pioneering aldermen in Diemen, Oss, and surrounding areas, as well as in Walcheren. This publication combines insights and reflections derived from dialogue sessions with a representative group of (care) professionals and clients, with interviews featuring experts from the working communities. Formerly involved aldermen, René Peters (Oss),Ruud Grondel (Diemen),and Albert Vader (Vlissingen),share their perspectives as well.
Embracing New Organizational Approaches
In addition to delving into the essence of New Organizing, Learning, and Accountability, this book emphasizes the critical nature of adopting a fresh perspective on organizing in order to ensure the success of the transformation. The concept of the "working community" is carefully examined, while the approach of transformation dialogues is presented as a form of New Learning and Accountability. This publication serves as a valuable resource for aldermen, administrators, council members, civil servants, and professionals who are dedicated to the transformation of the social domain, particularly the youthcare sector, and are willing to explore new avenues.
A Collaborative Endeavor Supported by the Bernard van Leer Foundation
This field research was made possible with the financial support of the Bernard van Leer Foundation. Jan Smit, the research leader and author of this publication, holds a background in ethics from the Vrije Universiteit of Amsterdam and has years of experience as a researcher and program manager at Nyenrode Business Universiteit. In 2003, he co-founded Broosz (www.broosz.nl),an organizational consulting firm that has been supporting New Organizing in the social domain ever since.
